Default IC 4449 confirmation

The literature I have read seems to indicate that the 4009 IC can be used instead of the 4449 IC called for in the manual. Is this true? I ask because I have an extra 4009, but no 4449 and can't seem to find any specs on the web for either.

Thanks,
BT

Feel free to delete this message. 4009 is listed as a replacement for 4449. Sorry, jumped the gun!
