Default 1702A programmer works!

I bought a 1702A programmer off e-bay in September for ~$600 because my Altair programmer is too hard to use for large big jobs. The thing never worked! I finally traced the problem down to the power supply shutting off when the 1702A programming current turns on. I replaced the power supply and it works perfectly.

I can now program a 256 byte 1702A EPROM in 4 minutes 40 seconds from Windows XP! This is probably the last commercially available EPROM programmer that can still program 1702As. It was introduced in 1997 and discontinued in 2006. Its almost twice as slow as the Altair programmer, but this one verifies the EPROM, which the Altair programmer did not. I had to manually verify every EPROM programmed with the Altair.

I will be shipping out the 8 EPROM sets very soon to those who bought the PMC card but have not received the EPROMs.
