Bus Termination?
 

I have Grant's 18-slot motherboard and am having a great deal of trouble getting a known-good ACR board to work. Is it possible the bus has too much noise or ringing (I'm not a hardware person so I don't know the correct terms) on it? Is the 18-slot mobo terminated? If not could termination possibly help?

Hi Tom;
These machine didn't have termination.... But sometimes it couldn't Hurt....
Mainly get all of the Boards located near each other , it doesn't matter if it is at one end or the other or even in the middle of the Board....
Also check, that you have all of the wires that hook up the mother board to the Front Panel are right.... Do a memory test and some in and out tests.... Just assume that something is wrong untill you have proved that everything is working... Also Check all of your Voltages and make sure , that they are correct, and working properly..... I am more of a Hardward person, and have trouble figuring out software..... So, just jump in and try it, Just like you would tell me to do with the software....
