I just had to announce to the forum that mine is now working :-). It was pretty much smooth sailing: the only hurdles I ran in to during construction were one of the switches being mechanically defective, and the large power supply being set for 240V input instead of 120V. Connecting the D/C board to the motherboard was the most daunting task.

I had wanted one of these badly when I was a teenager, but I am actually glad I couldn't afford it in the 70's -- I would have ruined the kit with the skills and tools I had at that age, whereas it was quite do-able at this point in my life.
